Master Tan enjoys teaching. He was trained in School of Method of Instruction (SOMI) in MINDEF in early days, and was involved in training roles in MINDEF many years afterwards; later, when he was a stockbroker, he taught Dealer Representative Course (for stockbrokers) in Phillippe Concepto and taught Technical Analysis classes for traders and investors. He has also provided countless motivational talks to groups and firms.
